Born in Poland, She began to dance at the age of six years. She studied in her native town Szczecin and with 10 years of age began her professional Studies at the National Ballet School in Warsaw. At the age of 11 she danced at the National Theater in Warsaw / Poland the leading part of the small Klara in "The Nutcracker" (choreographer Gennadij Ledyakh). 1980-1985 she was a member of the Ballet Company of the National Theater (Teatr Wielki) in Warsaw as a principal soloist. In 1982 she won a silver medal in the Polish Ballet Competition. 1984 she graduated in Methodology of Classic Dance in the Ballet Department of The Music Academy - Warsaw. She worked with such balletmasters like: Krystyna Poplawska, Gennadij Ledyakh, Ninella Kurgapkina, Irina Kolpakova, Pyotr Gusev, Leonid Zhdanov, Galina Stupnikova and Nikolaj Charitonov et.al. In 1985 She joined "The Hamburg Ballet" in Germany (director : John Neumeier) where She has been the principal soloist since 1987.Ê She was also invited as a guest performer in Stuttgart, Stockholm, Bern and Poland. Since 1998 she works as a balletmaster for Toss Company Kiel, The Hamburg Ballet, Staatsballett München, Ballett der Staatsoper Hannover, English National Ballet a.o.. She works now on her Master degree in the Methodology of Classic Dance / Music Academy Warsaw, as well as a guest soloist of The Hamburg Ballet. -Swanilda in "Coppelia" (choreographer - Asaf Messerer) , -Aurora in "Sleeping Beauty" (chor. Pyotr Gusev), -Lise in "La fille mal gardee" (chor. Frederick Ashton), -Odette-Odile in "Swan Lake" (chor. Marius Petipa), and also main roles in: -"La Ventana" (chor. Auguste Bournonville), -"Serenade" (chor. George Balanchine), -"La suite en blanc" (chor. Serge Lifar) and many others. The following roles were created by John Neumeier for her: Ê -Aase in the "Peer Gynt", -Athena in the "Odyssey" -Woman in red in "Mahler«s IX Symphony", -The Music in "Fenster zu Mozart". -First and the second movement of Mahler`s V Symphony. -Solo and pas de deux in Mozart«s "Requiem". Her leading roles in Hamburg to date: -Odette in "Illusions-like Swain Lake" (chor. J. Neumeier), -Aurora in "Sleeping Beauty" (chor. J. Neumeier ), -Louise in "The Nutcracker" (chor. J. Neumeier), -Titania in "A Midsummer Nights Dream" (chor. J. Neumeier), -Manon Lesccaut in "The Lady of the Camellias" (chor. J. Neumeier), as well as important roles in John Neumeier`s ballets: Ê -Mahler«s "III Symphony", -Mahler«s "IV Symphony", -Adagietto in Mahler«s "V Symphony" (created for Natalia Makarova and Eric Bruhn) -"Bach Suite-3" -Skrjabin«s "Desir" -Bach«s "Saint Matthew Passion". She has also danced in the following: Ê Ê-"Onegin"-Part of Tatiana (chor. John Cranko), -"Opus I"-(chor. John Cranko), -"There is a Time" (chor. Jose Limon), -"The Leaves are Fading" (chor. Antony Tudors), -"Jakobson-Miniatures" (chor. Leonid Jakobson), -"Serenade" (chor. George Balanchine), and principal role in "Theme and Variation" (chor. George Balanchine).
